R. Releasing Players, Contract Buyouts & Cap Hits

R.1 Waiving a Player
a. Any player can be waived at any time, except for between week 16 and the start of the new Throne Dynasty season and during RFAA/UFAA.
b. Players released are placed on waivers immediately after release.
C. Any house that waives a player MUST go to their House Keep thread and write the players name and how many contract years he had remaining (ex. House Targaryen has dropped Barry Sanders who had a 1 year deal). Failure to do so within 2 hours of the transaction will incur a 10 GP penalty for each occurrence. No exceptions. Teams must police themselves and therefore this penalty will be carried out.
d. Misstating a players contract (saying he has a 1 year deal, when he actually has a 2+ year deal) will result in a 15 GP penalty. Accident or not, the penalty will be applied.
R.2 Cap Hits
a. Dropping a newly drafted player with a 0 year contract prior to the Aug. 15th deadline, will receive a penalty as if he had a 1 yr deal.
b. Dropping players under contract will result in a cap hit. That penalty will follow the below tiered structure based on contract years left:
Years 1 & 2= 5 GP/yr
Years 3 & 4= 10 GP/yr
Years 5 & 6= 15 GP/yr
Example: I waive player A whom has a 5 year contract. I will incur a 45 GP penalty (5GP's for each year 1 & 2 and 10GP's for years 3 & 4 and 15 GP's for year 5). I waive player B whom has a 3 year deal and I will incur a 20 GP penalty.
R.3 Releasing Players w/o Penalty
a. Any player that is declared an NFL FA (by MFL), has passed away or retired may be dropped without penalty.
b. Suspended players are still subject to GP penalties if waived.
c. Any player picked up via FCFS in either Phase A or Phase B (see section T) may never be waived without penalty unless the player has passed away.
d. All houses must still go to their 'House Keep' thread and mention who they are dropping (ie. House Taragaryen waives Barry Sanders penalty free because he is listed as an NFL FA). Failure to do so within 2 hours of the transaction will incur a 10 GP penalty for each occurance.

a. Franchises may elect to buyout a specific number of years on a players contract without waiving the player outright.
b. The cost to perform this function will follow the above tiered system for releasing players.
c. Contract year buyouts begin on February 8th of the new league year through week 16. Buyouts cannot occur during RFAA or UFAA however.
Example: Player A has a 5 year deal and I want to buyout 2 years. It would cost 25 GP's to do (15 GP's for year 5 and 10 GP's for year 4) and player A would now have a 3 year deal.
