Q.1 Dispersal Draft
Depending on the number of new teams at the beginning of any given year, a dispersal draft may be held. If there is only 1 new team, and no established teams elect to put their players/picks up for the draft, the 1 new owner will take over the open team 'as-is'. At least 2 teams (new/established), of any combination, are needed to spark a dispersal draft.
The fine print:
a. Any established team may elect to add their roster/draft picks/GP's, to a dispersal draft, as long as they have been in the league for 3 full years. This can happen a maximum of 1 time every 5 years.
b. If an established team elects to throw their players into a dispersal draft, said the team must pay for the current season, plus a 50% non-refundable deposit for the next year. I don't want teams to use this over and over again, and I also want a small commitment to the league if this were to be allowed for existing teams.
c. All draft picks will be included in the dispersal draft as a package. So if there are 3 teams in the draft, there will be 3 'draft packages'. Each team may only select 1 draft package.
d. All contracts associated with each player WILL follow the player to their new team. And this draft will take place BEFORE league roll-over, and therefore before contracts are reduced by 1 year.
e. Teams are allowed to go over the contract cap during the entirety of the dispersal draft.
f. Teams that are over the 125 year cap will be forced to buy out enough contracts in order to get under the cap within 3 days of the conclusion of the draft.
g. Each team must draft a minimum of 38 players, which is the minimum roster size.
h. Players that are currently on IR, will not qualify for IR during the draft, in order to try to hide contract years. They WILL count toward your cap, and will count against you if you go over that cap.
i. Undrafted players will have their contracts reset, and will go into the FA auction for all teams to bid on.
j. Blind bid dollars will be added up and divided evenly among all eligible teams.
k. The commish will setup a google drive spreadsheet that will list all eligible players/picks. The draft will be a snake draft, that is held within a thread in the forum.
