T.1 Injured Reserve a. An unlimited number of players may be placed on IR. The player must have the IR designation by MFL before that player can go on the IR list. No exceptions. b. Before any player can be placed on the IR, that player must be on a team’s active roster for at least one week, therefore an IR'd player picked up during weekly waivers cannot go directly to your IR. c. Once placed on IR, that player may not come off IR for the remainder of the season, unless that player was one that was designated to return by his NFL team. d. Teams may extend their 125 year cap by the number of players they have on IR in order to create some cap relief, but realize that the number of contract years in an IR player will still count against the total cap. e. If your IR player comes back to play for their NFL team you must activate him from your IR and you will have an IR violation on your roster page until you do. The MFL system will prevent you from submitting a lineup until you remove your IR violation and either activate or waive said player. f. Teams may activate IR'd players between February 8th and March 7th of the new league year. Any IR players not activated prior to that deadline will be immediately waived and all penalties will be applied in accordance with the constitution.
